Position Overview
We’re seeking an energetic and client-focused Design Consultant to join our remote sales team. This is a front-line sales role responsible for managing inbound and outbound leads, guiding prospects through our sales funnel, and converting them into long-term advocates of Design Dojo. You’ll spend much of your day speaking with business owners, understanding their goals, and recommending the right design packages to meet their needs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connection, enjoys consultative sales, and believes in the power of great branding and design to transform small businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily phone consultations (4–5 hours per day) with prospective clients to assess needs and recommend services.
- Manage and nurture leads through the Design Dojo sales funnel, from initial inquiry to closed sale.
- Use CRM tools (Salesforce, SalesLoft) to track leads, follow-ups, and conversion metrics.
- Present and explain Design Dojo’s flat-fee creative services, emphasizing value, transparency, and our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
- Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure seamless client handoff and consistent project success.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in every client interaction, reflecting Design Dojo’s collaborative and creative culture.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of proven sales experience, ideally in a consultative or service-based environment (creative, tech, SaaS, or design agency experience a plus).
- Strong phone presence — able to build trust and enthusiasm quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and meeting performance targets.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with MST-based hours.
- Tech-savvy — familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and online collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace).
- Passion for design, branding, or creative industries is a plus.
